I purchased an AVR X580BT amplifier/receiver from DENON. It arrived well-packaged, and the set-up was smooth.

Everything worked fine except for the remote control; the manual was also in Japanese. As this was my third DENON, I didn't really need the manual. The remote, however, is especially important to me in order to easily change the relative speaker output (dB) to optimize for music vs. films.

I often change this setting daily as movies seem to sound better with the center speaker up by approximately 10 dB. Fortunately, my previous DENON's remote could perform all the functions properly. After 6 months, the old remote started failing, so I called and spoke to a customer service rep who told me my model was 'European' and he 'didn't want to hear another word because they don't 'know anything' about European models. 'Can't help, can't help, supervisor can't help...contact the European customer service!' he said in a patronizing tone.

I asked how I could do that, and he arrogantly responded, 'Don't know, can't help, use Google.' His attitude was unbelievable and aligns with some of the other comments I've seen about DENON's customer service. I told him next time I will be buying from Marantz. P.S.: It appears that the European customer service can't help either, although they were much friendlier.

Now, I need to find the Japanese customer service. Does anyone know how to get in touch with them?

Pass through audio issue

Why does my Denon AVR-S760H lose audio randomly when an audio signal from another source is set to pass through to my Denon AVR? The issue never occurs when the source is set to DD or PCM. I would appreciate your input on this matter.

Can’t connect to my iPhone. For the 10th time.

Connecting an iPhone to the Denon has been the worst experience of my life. This is the fourth time Ive called trying to get this. This is the fourth Sunday morning in recent memory ruined by my Denon receiver.

Company fixed the issue and I have been provided with apology. The night before going to Barcelona to the store where the earphones were purchased, the right earphone came back to life!

The store checked the product. Denon contacted m via email.

I had several exchanges with them asking questions. etc.

I would prefer that they have world wide warranties but they don't so one needs to either contact Denon directly - and again, if there is no representative then if you try to contact Denon from another area, nothing can really happen, OR go to the exact store where the item was purchased and have them deal with Denon for you. This takes about a month.

They do not just replace the item like some larger companies, Apple, JBL Sennheiser (think) etc would do.They did respond to me and they do answer questions that I ask.

However and real service I'd have to get either from the representative in my country or vis the purchasing store. This makes things a bit more difficult.

I purchased Denon Perl Pro earbuds on 11 April 2024. Today, I noticed that the right bud did not light up the correct light in the charging case.

The right bud suddenly stopped working. What do I do?

The buds are one month old. I tried chatting with Denon, but they didn't want to hear from me because I'm not in the USA.

I'm unable to pair my BT headphones because the subject setting is not shown in the General menu allowing me to "turn on" the transmit feature. I am able to pair my phone that confirms the BT functionality.

The firmware is identified as "Latest" and listed version is 4400-62**-**42-4030. Please advise what is necessary to resolve the "Transmit" problem.

I have screen shots of the same if required. Thank You, John

John was a patient Technician and got me one of the Manuals I needed (AVR-4802). The other one (AVR-97) is lost to the many mergers and collaborations Denon has had over the years. He was very helpful and I am very happy with the service I received.

I tried calling during proper business hours but it said for me to call back during proper business hours and that is unacceptable and very stupid and I have questions that needed to be answered

When I called the toll free number for help it said for me to call during proper business hours which it was when I called. This is unacceptable and I expect to call back right away.

I have been a denim customer for 20 years and respect better treatment. So if you could call me back at 289 253-**** Ontario Canada. And I expect a prompt it's quick response because every time I try and call you it keeps telling me that I'm not calling within the proper business hours which I am.

That is infuriating and very unacceptable. You are a business that's worth billions and should not treat good paying customers like this and people like me can make your life *** by posting what happens when I try and call you the thousands of friends I have on Facebook and other media platforms so you might want to consider that

After less than 4 months, my brand new Denon AVR-S660H ampli-receiver started to shut down unexpectedly with an Speaker connection error message, while the sound was no that high. Then 2-3 weeks later, the ampli stopped and became impossible to switch on again.

Actually, it switched on a couple of seconds, then shut down with a blinking red light on the front. I read the manual, where it was told it could come from a wiring issue to speakers. I spent a whole Sunday changing all my wiring, that is connectors and wire (with a special hi-fi wire), and the issue is still there.

When I contacted the Denon support, I just had the feeling everything was made to discourage me to go on with my request. They pretend wanting to avoid a useless return to their shop, warning that the repair could take months if they allow it, and require to have a technician making an extensive diagnosis of the set through the phone first (I am in a remote region), before they allow a return.

I explained what I did, explained the machine does not start, which would not allow to modify the settings, but they still want I call a technician! A technician who will speak of technical things to me in English, while I do no speak English fluently (I can write, but that's all)...

More, after just 4 months, I think I should be entitled to a direct exchange or refund. Or at least a quick service.

I am very disappointed, since I bought that receiver on Denon's reputation, Since I was a teenager (I am 64), Denon was for me a well reknown brand, and I thought I would be fully satisfied.

And I was, actually, until that lack of reliability and that lack of enthusiasm to offer a good service. What a pity from such a brand.

Need help fixing my receiver

It is a joke. I thought I was going to enjoy this stereo.

I broke they told me to send it out to be repaired and I haven't heard crap back at Denon. I know it was only a $500.00 stereo but it means a lot to me.

User's recommendation: They will lose a lot of business conducting business this way. Its almost somewhat shady. I can't even get them to give me back my stereo.

Company fixed the issue and I have been provided with apology. They gave me the name of a local dealer who can advise if my item can be fixed. Haven’t done that yet.

Called Denon office in NJ after contacting B&H where I made purchase of Denon micro desktop stereo system D-M41. Both Denon and B&H couldnt help.

Purchased in April 2022.

Problem is cd drawer does not close properly.

It takes at least 3 tries to get CD to play. Paid over $500 and its not two years old!

Turntable issue

Hi dear people,

I have a very annoying problem with my Denon DP-57L turntable, which unfortunately Denon's authorized service in London(Sounds Systems Technology)could not fix. The problem is that sometimes it stops by itself, as if I pressed the stop button.

What's wrong due to this and who can fix it for me? Could you please help me with some advice? I love my turntable and want to fix this one problem.

Everything else works perfectly. Thanks for your help in advance!
